This film is a low-key crime comedy that interweaves the stories of two hapless duos. Buddy and Karl are middle-aged owners of a mint, 1972 Delta '88 parked in the wrong place at the right time. Boot and Curly are a couple of aimless slackers stuck on foot on a hot day in the unfriendly suburbs when they opt to "liberate" the Delta '88. Empowered by their newfound wheels, they embark upon a daylong joy ride with an underemployed girlfriend, Verona. Meanwhile, Buddy and Karl seek retribution.
